The ingredients needed to make Whole wheat bread:
  1. Make ready 4 cups whole wheat flour
  2. Take 2 cups warm water
  3. Make ready 1 tsp salt
  4. Make ready 3 tsp sugar
  5. Make ready 3 tbsp oil
  6. Get 2and 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
Instructions to make Whole wheat bread:
  1. In warm water add sugar and yeast and set aside for the yeast to proof for 15 mins.
  2. In a vessel take whole wheat flour and add salt to it and mix well. Now add the yeast mix to the water and knead the dough till smooth and soft for 20-25 mins. It will be a very soft dough.
  3. In a vessel take oil and place the prepared dough in it. Coat it well with oil all over. Cover with cling and let it rise for 60 to 90 mins.
  4. Transfer into floured surface and divide into 2 parts. Fold it like a log tucking the ends in and place in a greased tin. You will get 2 medium sized logs from this recipe.
  5. Cover and let it rise for another 30 mins.
  6. Brush some oil/ butter on top. Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes or till golden brown. You can sprinkle some black onion seeds and oats on top too.
