The ingredients needed to make Methi Egg:
  1. Prepare 4 boiled duck eggs cut into two halves
  2. Make ready 1 raw duck egg
  3. Prepare 2 medium sized onion paste
  4. Get 1 medium sized onion chopped
  5. Take 1 teaspoon green chillies chopped
  6. Make ready 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  7. Prepare 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  8. Take 1 tablespoon kasuri methi
  9. Get 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. Get 1/2 cup yogurt
  11. Take 1 teaspoon white pepper
  12. Prepare 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  13. Get Salt as required
  14. Prepare Sugar as required
  15. Prepare Vegetable oil as required
  16. Take 1 tablespoon cornflour
Instructions to make Methi Egg:
  1. In a bowl add the chopped onions, green chillies, salt, raw duck egg, half of the kasuri methi, cornflour. Mix them well altogether.
  2. Heat some oil in a wok and then dip each of the halves of the boiled egg and fry them well. Keep it aside.
  3. In the same wok, add the onion paste. Saute it for sometime.
  4. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste and again cook it for sometime, till the raw smell dissapears.
  5. Add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sugar.
  6. Add the yogurt and cook it for sometime, till the oil separates.
  7. Add half cup of water and bring it to boil.
  8. Add the kasuri methi and the fried eggs.
  9. Cover it for 2mins and then mix it well.
  10. Remove it from the flame and serve hot.
