  6. Stir in the rice and add extra water to cover everything in the saucepan again - - Bring back to the boil, then reduce the heat again and cover for about another 10 minutes or until the water has all evaporated
  7. Towards the end of cooking the rice, if you have any leftover oil on the pan from the onions, add this to the lentils and rice and stir it in for extra flavour then leave for another few minutes until it’s all cooked
  8. Once finished, stir half of the onions into the mix and place into a dish to serve
  9. Add the remaining onions on the top and then you’re done! Enjoy
