  2. Take 1 tablespoon garlic
  3. Get 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

  5. Take 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  6. Take 2 tablespoon lemon juice or kolam juice

  8. Prepare as needed Oil
  9. Make ready as needed Jowar atta for dusting

Being a Maharashtrian and a hailing from Konkan coastal belt my food However, he had a deep aversion towards Indian Mackerel due to couple of reasons like, it being a bony fish, and second he seemed to dislike its smell. This fish fry recipe uses mackerel. Apply some salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Heat the oil till it is very hot.

  1. Wash and clean the fish properly. Slit the fish horizontally from both the sides of the bones.
  2. In a mixing bowl add ginger garlic paste coriander paste red chilli powder, turmeric powder salt add kokum juice and mix well.
  3. Now stuff the fish with the green masala. Keep for marination for 10 to 15 min.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan.Dust the marinated fish from both the sides with jowar flour. (this is optional) if you don’t want to coat the fish with flour you can skip.
  5. Fry the fish on medium flame from both the sides till golden brown.
  6. Remove it from the pan and serve hot with some salad.

Apply some salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Heat the oil till it is very hot. Roll the mackerels in rice powder one by one and and deep-fry in batches on medium heat till they are crisp. Apply salt, red chili powder and turmeric evenly in the slits. Apply the paste over the entire body of the fishes.
